Never has there been such a need to talk about death. We invite you to join a digital space to share stories, hopes and fears about loss.
Whilst the Covid-19 crisis has prompted people to confront death and what it means for them, it’s crucial we don’t feel alone with these thoughts. Redbridge, Kirklees and Newcastle City Library Services have been working together to curate a programme of events for Dying Matters Week #DyingToBeHeard.
We would like to invite you to our first Online Death Cafe, to find out more about what a death cafe is please see: https://deathcafe.com/
Make sure you grab some tea, cake, and a comfy chair, and join us to share your thoughts and stories about life, death and loss. Everyone is welcome, no prior experience of a death cafe is necessary. Our Death Cafe's will be a safe non-judgemental friendly space - if you prefer to listen then that's totally fine with us.
This project is part of a bigger project funded through the Engaging Libraries programme which is administered by Carnegie UK Trust, funded by Wellcome Trust, Wolfson Foundation #engaginglibs
